Dave Merheje, representing the YQG, joined us for an hour to talk about nothing in particular and everything in general. I didn't know he had moved away from Toronto and is now living in Los Angeles. So there you go. We talked about his religious upbringing, rap and hip-hop, towns he could do without, a rant against Justin Beiber followed by a mea culpa, good gigs gone bad, and ethnic comedy shows.

Mar. 20: Dave Merheje
Facebook tells me it's the first day of spring, although I always thought it was the 21st. But close enough. In fact, the internet confirms that Facebook is right; it's the earliest spring since 1896. Who knew it could do whatever it wanted whenever it wanted? So let's celebrate the vernal equinox with Toronto-based standup comic Dave Merheje. Dave's only been with us once before, back in 2013. The Windsor native is a multi-award winner. He's been in town for a week or so and is leaving tomorrow so we're lucky to have him in studio tonight.
We're on the air at 11 pm on CFRO 100.5 FM in Vancouver. If there are any problems there, try livestreaming us at coopradio.org or find us on your TuneIn Radio app.

Podcast episode 317ish: Dave Merheje
In this episode, Toronto-based standup Dave Merheje talks about honing his comedy chops on the mean streets of Detroit and along the way got some tough love by some hard-ass border guards. That, along with a run-in with an LA thug, helped shape his unique comedy stylings.

June 2: Dave Merheje
It's not summer yet but when the clock strikes June, I feel it should be. So to celebrate, we've got a first-time guest in studio. Dave Merheje is a Toronto-based comic who spends a bit of time in Vancouver. I think he spends a bit of time almost everywhere, though. He started doing stand-up in Detroit, and has performed at all the top clubs in New York and LA, too, according to his website. We can find out together tonight, straight from the horse's mouth. Dave will be performing with Brent Morin, Dino Archie and Ivan Decker at the Vogue Theatre this coming Friday night for a big comedy extravaganza, so we'll talk about that, too. If you've ever seen his stand-up act, he can get going so we'll hit on lots of stuff in the hour, I'm sure.
We go live to air at 11 pm PST on CFRO, 100.5 FM in Vancouver or livestream at coopradio.org.
