Podcast episode 454ish: Garrett Clark

Boners lead to night danger. At least, that's the take-away I get from Garrett Clark's two albums: Boner Comedian and Night Danger. Clark joined us in studio and we listened to a couple tracks off his new recording, and he told us all about his experience in Los Angeles, where he studied at UCB, and got closer to Kevin Bacon than many of us will. What else? Well, with anyone who's spent any time in Australia, I have to discuss the horrific spiders found down under. And he does some of his spot-on impressions to round things out.

Enjoy this episode courtesy of the internet. You can listen here below, over at comedycouch.com, on iTunes, Stitcher or wherever you like to get podcasts.

Apr. 30: Garrett Clark

It's been two years since Garrett Clark last visited us. So he's back tonight. As you can see from the photo, Garrett is a very sexy man who wears a vest with no shirt. And as you can also see, he has antlers. Oh, and he's got a new comedy album out. As you can see, it's called Night Danger. I'm hoping everything will be safe on this night. And we'll play a track or two off the album.

We're on the air at 11 pm in Vancouver on CFRO 100.5 FM. If you're a friend or relative of Garrett's in Ontario or Australia, you can livestream us at coopradio.org once you've done the math on the time difference.

Podcast episode 376ish: Garrett Clark

Garrett Clark, we hardly knew ye! The Aussie-lite Canadian standup first visited us five months ago. He's back again so soon to bid us a fond adieu as he's packing his bags and moving down to Los Angeles. We find out about his plans and he talks about his love of generic rock, his adult circumcision, and his disdain for movie extras, even though he is one himself on occasion. Best of all, he entertains us with spot-on impressions of Hank Hill, Jiminy Glick, Damonde Tschritter and Richard Lett.

You can listen to the whole thing for free! Right here! It's even free at iTunes and Stitcher and PodcastLand if you want to download it or subscribe. I say this in case you're new to podcasts. It's nothing special. That's how they all work.

Jan. 25: Garrett Clark

Garrett Clark returns to our studios a mere five months after making his What's So Funny? debut. What could we possibly have to talk about so soon? Well, for starters, he's leaving us. In a matter of days, Clark will be driving off in his baby blue Ford Windstar and heading for the bright lights of Hollywood, California, to seek his fame and fortune in comedy. This will be his big send-off. So that's the big topic of conversation but we've got plenty more. And you can be guaranteed I'll get him to do his uncanny Richard Lett impression again. If you haven't heard it, it really is amazing.

We're on the air at 100.5 FM in Vancouver at 11 pm. Livestream us at coopradio.org. It's what all the cool cats do.

Podcast episode 355ish: Garrett Clark

Garrett Clark (aka Gazzy) is a Canadian who sounds Australian. He has his reasons, which you'll learn if you listen to this episode. He's a standup comic now but at one time he was a squeaky-voiced teenager on TV. And then he was a flight attendant. Now he plays stages all over the Dominion of Canada and the United States of America. He also has his pilot's license, which terrifies me and my new manservant, Colleen. But he talks us through it.

You can hear the whole episode by clicking below. Or you can download it at iTunes, Stitcher, PodcastLand, PlayerFM, etc. Go ahead and subscribe, too. And leave a comment. Do you know that we have more comments on the American iTunes than we do on Canada's? That's not right! Rectify that. (Although we have more ratings on the Canadian page. Go figure.)

Aug. 24: Garrett Clark

I'm back refreshed from two weeks off. We played a couple of special encore presentations the past two weeks: Ryan Hamilton last Sunday and Paul Hooper the preceding Sunday. Tonight, though, we've got a live one for you. And a first-timer, to boot. Garrett Clark is a standup comic with footprints all over the map. That hint of an accent you'll hear is Australian, where he grew up. Then there was Toronto. Next was a stint in Kelowna. And now Vancouver. Somewhere in between he spent a fair bit of time interviewing people in Manitoba. And he performs standup all over the place. And I'm not just saying that. He was booked to be on the show several weeks ago but he was asked to go on tour with Iliza Shlesinger in Vermont, or some such place, so we excused him. No excuses tonight, though. He'll be in studio and we'll get his full story. And if we're lucky, we'll play a clip from his new album "Boner Comedian." I'm getting excited already. I'd tell you he also has a podcast, but who doesn't these days? (For the record, his is called Shits n' Gigs.)

Tune in to 100.5 FM in Vancouver or livestream us at coopradio.org at 11 pm until midnight.
