What a delight it was talking with Derek Edwards again. He's one of the funniest men to have ever graced a stage, and he's just as funny in casual conversation, as you'll hear here. You won't find him on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Hell, he doesn't even have a website. Still, we managed to track him down in his basement somewhere in the heart of central Canada. Oh, and we laughed. Topics covered: Mike Bullard, Red Green, Corner Gas, Trailer Park Boys, Donald Trump (although not by name), and he tells us his funniest street joke.
I don't imagine Derek will ever hear this episode because it requires electricity, but if you can handle it, there are many ways to access it. 1. You can click on the link below and listen right now. 2. You can seek out your favourite podcast server and download us there. 3. You can "watch" it on YouTube (just some scrolling photos while the audio plays).

Tomorrow's show; More podcasts!
We took a station-mandated time-out last week. No fault of ours. There was other more important programming that needed airing, is all. And this week, as I mentioned, I'm out of town. In fact, I'm lying in a hotel room in Seattle as I write this. But I
talked it over with my manservant, Kevin, and we decided that the show must go on. In a sense. We won't have a live guest this week. Instead, Kevin will play comedy deejay and spin you some funny trax. Knowing Kevin, I can almost guarantee that means you'll be hearing some Flight of the Conchords and Daniel Tosh. But who knows, he might surprise me.
Meanwhile, if you're jonesin' for some interviews, seven more just joined the podcast family. As always, they're available at the Comedy Couch, on iTunes, or a friendly neighbourhood podcast server near you. Or you could just click on the episode below and let the magic of the intertube take you away.

April 19: Derek Edwards
The Timmons-raised funnyman calls Toronto home, but he's a small-town guy at heart. Edwards is one of those naturally hilarious storytelling comics. His very essence oozes funny. The rhythm and cadence of his voice, the way he holds himself, his hangdog face... all add to his already top-notch material to make him universally loved and respected. So, needless to say, we were lucky to get him on the show.
The show was recorded in his hotel room in North Vancouver this past Friday, April 17. In the hour-long conversation, we talk about his insecurities, his work ethic instilled by his funny dad, the odds of him being his biggest critic, and the degrees of separation between him and Shania Twain, among lots of other stuff.
So listen, won't you? You know the time: 11 pm to midnight PST, 102.7 FM in Vancouver or on the internet via live streaming anywhere in the word here.

April 12: me
After shattering the call-in record last week with a staggering five (5) phone calls in the hour for Darcy Michael, we need a break. So tonight there will be no guest. Instead I will take the opportunity to play deejay and spin some comedy discs. I'll play some classics, some you've never heard before, and some local acts, as well. I'll take requests, too, so feel free to call in again. Maybe we can break that week-old record. The studio number is 604-684-7561.
(The previous record, fyi, was four coincidentally set the last time Darcy Michael was on. That guy has a following.)
Next week, as you can see over in the right-hand panel, we have the legend that is Derek Edwards! He's one of the funniest guys in the world so that'll be a good one, I just know.
