Podcast episode 377ish: Tanyalee Davis

We managed to nail down travellin' woman Tanyalee Davis for an hour a couple weeks ago. It had been four years since her last visit to the studio. The truly international Ms. Davis tells tales of her little 'gina, relocating to small town North Carolina, and hanging out with big stars like the Bay City Rollers and P Diddy. I was contagious and in the isolation booth that night so manservant Colleen Brow took over to ask the tough questions with occasional input from me.

You can listen to the whole shebang right here. Or go download it at your iTunes store. Or Stitcher. Or... well, lots of other places too numerous to mention.

Feb. 8: Tanyalee Davis

We're back live in studio tonight. Joining us is Tanyalee Davis, former Vancouver girl just back in town visiting from God knows where. She travels the world performing standup. Yes, the whole world. I wonder if she's done a count of how many countries she's been to? Maybe we'll find out tonight. She last visited us four years ago so I'm sure she's gotten up to lots of trouble in the intervening years. Tune in to find out what.

We're on the air at 11 pm on CFRO 100.5 in Vancouver. If you're elsewhere in the world, do the math. You can livestream us at coopradio.org.

Podcast episode 247ish: Tanyalee Davis

We are in heavy podcast mode at the moment, just trying to get caught up with the live radio episodes. Once we're up-to-date, we'll get back to uploading the podcasts one week after they air on the radio. Deal? Good.

So this one was a real joy. Little Miss Sunshine Tanyalee Davis joined us in studio to talk about prisoners and leprechauns. You'll also learn who the bigger dick is: Maury Povich or Bono. And along the way, the 3-foot-6 stand-up comic has a midlife crisis. Can't nobody hold her down!

Listen right here right now or download the episode over at a place such as iTunes and listen while walking your dog or painting your fence.*

Sept. 4: Tanyalee Davis

The live show returns tonight. And by 'live', I mean, of course, live to air on the radio with an in-studio guest, not live in front of a studio audience. And it promises to be a great show. I've been waiting a long time to get this comic on. Tanyalee Davis is practically a local. Hailing from Manitoba, she got her comedy career started right here in Vancouver, if I'm not mistaken. And if I am mistaken, she will correct me on-air. Soon after she started her career, she headed down to Los Angeles to seek her fame and fortune in Hollywood. Not sure of the timeline, but I know she spent a good number of years in Las Vegas, where she performed regularly when not touring the globe. And she tours the globe frequently. I interviewed Tanyalee back in 2005 and the girl has stories and isn't afraid to tell them. If you've ever seen her stage act, you know her life is an open book so I expect an hour will barely scratch the surface.

As usual, the show goes from 11 to midnight PST on 102.7 FM in Vancouver, streaming live on the interweb at coopradio.org
