Podcast episode 497ish: Damonde Tschritter

It was great catching up with Damonde Tschritter again. He'd been absent from our program for eight long years. I learned this time that he has a sports analogy for virtually every situation. I also learned that Kevin Bacon's got nothing on him. This guy seems to have a connection with everyone. It's an entertaining hour and a bit so treat yourself.

Podcast episode 496ish: Larke Miller

Do you love space aliens and monkeys? If so, this is the show for you! Even if you don't, you'll be entertained by Larke Miller's discussion of those topics as well as tales from her short high school career, sneaking alcohol backstage at Craig Ferguson, and making a monkey-less movie (and how you can help).

Have a listen. It's right here for you. It's also over at iTunes and Stitcher and all the other top podcast emporia.

June 17: Damonde Tschritter

Tonight's guest was last with us in 2010. Damonde Tschritter has been a mainstay on the Vancouver standup scene for as long as I can remember (my memory is admittedly not very good). I can't remember (naturally) when he became the first Canadian (maybe first non-American?) to win the prestigious Seattle Comedy Competition, but that's a feather in his cap. Last year he staged his first one-man show at the Vancouver Fringe which garnered great reviews. He has written for the Trailer Park Boys game... so I'll ask him what that is. He's now a producer at Grade 5 Films so we'll talk about that, too. And word on the street is that he'll be throwing out the first pitch at a Victoria HarbourCats game on July 6th. He's living the dream!

Should be a good one so tune in, won't you? We're on the air on CFRO 100.5 FM in Vancouver at 11 pm. You can also find us streaming at coopradio.org or on the TuneIn Radio app.

June 10: Larke Miller

It's old home month on What's So Funny? (or at least it's working out that way). Last week, Graham Clark returned to the show for the first time since 2012. Next week, Damonde Tschritter will be with us for the first time since 2010. Tonight, it's Larke Miller, who makes her second appearance after first joining us in 2011. Larke, who once did standup on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, has turned her attention to filmmaking. Larke hasn't just been up a tree the last seven years, she's in the middle of making a short sci-fi rom-com she wrote called The Jobs We Don't Want. She'll tell us all about it tonight. And I'm sure we'll talk about other stuff, too.

Tune in to CFRO 100.5 FM tonight at 11 pm in Vancouver. If you'd rather stream us, you go right ahead. I won't hold it against you. You can listen at coopradio.org or find us on the TuneIn Radio app.

Podcast episode 495ish: Graham Clark

We had a grand time with old pal Graham Clark last night on radio. In case you missed (and even if you caught it) we've got the podcast ready for you now. During the hour, Graham revealed a secret about himself he hasn't shared publicly before! How exciting! We also talk about the effort of doing a weekly podcast, i.e. his and Dave Shumka's Stop Podcasting Yourself, the blank stares of Jeopardy! contestants when faced with the category of podcasts, the value in nominating yourself for stuff, the anonymity of punching up scripts, crime and punishment on fairgrounds, and Graham's dream destination.

Have yourself a listen, won't you? Right here or search for What's So Funny? on iTunes (and then subscribe to the damn show) or in Stitcher or on Podbay.fm. You've got options, is what I'm trying to say.

June 3: Graham Clark

You've waited six long years for the return of Graham Clark. Tonight, your wait is over. Standup comic/beard painter Graham Clark has been on What's So Funny? eleven times over the years – possibly more than any other person (who has the time to check such things?) – but hasn't been with us since 2012. If you want to break down his appearances, he first joined us back in 2004. He's been a solo guest five times, shared the guesting with another comic three times, was part of a comedy round table once, and guest hosted for us twice. Graham, as you all know, is co-host of the wildly popular Stop Podcasting Yourself podcast, and is one of the most popular comedians in the country. That's a whole lot of popularity. We're looking forward to having him back with us. We've got a lot of catching up to do.

Tune in to Co-op Radio tonight at 11 pm in Vancouver. Or, if you're somewhere else in the world, livestream us at coopradio.org or simply find us on your TuneIn Radio app.
