I had a good sit-down with Pete Johansson a month or so ago. The former and future Vancouver stand-up and I chatted over a coffee at a local Starbucks about respect, comedy as legitimate art, the elevation of sports in society (both his father and brother were elite athletes) and why it sucks, why abortion is a force for good in the world (but not necessarily in Canadian comedy clubs), and why local comics need to get up and go. As always with Pete, it's a stimulating discussion. More than anything, I was happy to hear he'll be moving back to Vancouver (most likely) this summer after spending the last few years in London, England.As always, listen here or wherever fine podcasts are made available to you, such as iTunes, to name the only one I know. Download them all, as a matter of fact. Collect them and trade them with your friends.
