Our guest tonight is someone I've never met before. Goldie Hoffman is a standup comic and actress, but it was when I read a long essay of hers, called "Neither Right Nor Left: Or why I feel lonely as a liberal secular humanist," that spurred me to invite her on the show. Not that we'll spend the hour talking about liberal secular humanism. She's got other things to talk about. Such as growing up in Brooklyn and Montreal. Such as interviewing Strombo. Such as (if her standup comedy is to be believed) being one of ten children in a Hassidic family. Fascinating.
Tune in at 11 tonight to CFRO, 100.5 FM, in Vancouver. Or if you're out of town, you can stream us at coopradio.org. And if those options don't work for you, you can always patiently wait until the podcast drops.
